Kirlia touches the purple gem. It springs to life in rays of light. Radiating out from the heart of the jewel, runic figures occupy the beams of violet. They resolve themselves into more familiar shapes - the ancient letters of Unown, which Nathan knows well from studying the history of the Johto region. He knows that in Sarimanok's time, the Unown were a bit different and untranslatable, but these are now the readable, familiar Unown of the Ruins of Alph.

The Unown stream to the smooth walls and affix themselves there, quivering just a little. Many are gibberish, but in the center of each wall is a readable passage glowing with brighter light.
