I have the rather strong feeling that besides one future event, my character and yours are going to be avoiding each other for quite awhile. Ven really doesn't want to be a overbearing and demented nuisance to the boy any longer, and Nate wants nothing to do with the man than almost derailed his encounter with Absol AND this literally Legendary Meeting of his, so the two have ample reason barely interact with one another for the time being.
What I'm wondering now is just where Iron is hinting at with all these disconnected clues and mythical settings, and the things he might have in store for Shiva and my own character. Ven doesn't lend himself to the magical all that well, but he IS a highly curious individual that can't leave mysteries or just about anything well enough along, and Shiva has her own mystical flair and connection to nature/elements, so their are certainly interesting Events possible for the two. That is, if neither character derails them entirely, or flat out ignores them in favor of their own activities. (Particularly mine own...)
Nathan's rather...unlikely to outright say he saw Mesprit (even if it was sleeping and not at all acting like it usually would). If word got out that there was a legendary pokemon residing in a well known cave that's easily accessible (advance warning: Nathan didn't even record meeting Mesprit in his journal when he wrote down the information in the messages. That's how cautious he's being with this), even if the entrance to the actual chamber that legendary is in is hidden, well...I do wonder how Mallorn might react if and when he notices Mesprit is recorded as 'seen' in the group's collective pokedex entries, though...maybe that will be the trigger for Nathan to tell everyone about the encounter? (he still probably wouldn't say where it happened, though)
Doing a little reading on Mesprit and some analysis on the messages, I think I can see a little of why Nathan isn't ready for Mesprit quite yet (aside from the stated/theorized 'waiting game')...though from doing some reading on the full trio as well, he could also potentially interact with all three due to his connections to his own determination, his knowledge on the major regions, and his (admittedly unstable) emotions all being a big part of his character. Not sure if he will, but hey, it seems possible. Particularly since Kirlia seems to be incredibly important to the plot in a very direct way now...
Now, with regards to Nathan and Ventus...things are certainly repairable. It'll take some time though, because this was a big, big deal for Nathan. Even before he knew it involved a Legendary pokemon. Ventus admitting he made a huge mistake to Nathan will certainly help, but it won't solve things, I'm afraid. Ventus will get a chance to apologize when Nathan returns to town since Nathan's going to be more focused on what happened post-running than anything else, so the repair work can start sooner rather than later.
