Nathan looks back at Kirlia...and then nearly has a panic attack when he sees him by the barrier.  He's quick to run over to his best friend...

"Kirlia, please tell me you didn't touch that barrier..."

When Kirlia nods, though, Nathan starts worrying a little...

"Oh no...Mesprit, is he going to...?"  He can't complete the question.  He doesn't even want to think about it...he knows it's not likely to be the same as touching the legendary itself, but discretion is the better part of valor when it comes to dealing with powerful pokemon that might not be entirely pleased with you...

Kirlia smiles, showing he kept his emotions. But he also looks a little worried - evidence that Kirlia is not 100% sure what's going on here either. He'll be more careful in the future!

Not everything you read in the Pokedex is entirely accurate, but the entries on the legendaries are usually NOT exaggerated! 

Kirlia thinks for a bit, and taps the purple orb again. The Unown shift, swapping back to runic form, then into Roman letters once again. This time, the message is different.
