Best case scenario, they get to add another member to their team, one that is rare and powerful to boot and could go towards a long way of endering them to the Boss (If he's still around by the time everything settles, but neither of you know that). If they lose and can't get the money to pay the old? man off, they end up heading over to a brand new region and can start a life that DOESN'T involve petty crime or associating with people/beings that could crush you at any given moment. It was win-win scenario to the mimicking feline, so why not take the deal?
