"I'm sad about why Archie died as well, Kyubi.  A lot of things could have gone better, that's for sure..."

It's a little difficult to pull away after being in such a caring, understanding embrace, but Reiner knew it had to end sometime as well...

"One more thing to talk about if that's okay.  It's only half related to your past, though, and it was the other major question you had.  Specifically, why we were all so dang baffled when Mew resurrected you.  Old Kyubi's mom is a Ninetales, yes?  You probably didn't notice how different she looks compared to how you look now at first since there was nothing odd about that in the memory but...well, to keep it brief, you're not technically a Ninetales now.  Not in the usual sense.  It's more like you're...a human with some of the physical and elemental traits of a Ninetales.  My best guess for why that is is mixing human and pokemon souls favors the human side more than pokemon.  It's probably why pokeballs can't contain you any more.  Well, unless we hacked one to bypass that check for human DNA, but good luck finding someone who might know how to do that when there's been no practical need for it in the entirety of history up until now..."
