I'll say right now that Ventus would be perfectly happy not knowing about Merspirt, and will try to actively ignore or avoid what you were up to with the Absol for so long. He doesn't feel he has a say or right to know what exactly happened between the two of you, given everything he's done thus far, so don't feel pressure to reveal it because of him!
