Concerning the revelation of Delta Houndour, there are actually two ways to go.
1. Reveal the dog as soon as even possible, and widen the crack of trust in Shiva towards Nathan. Panic Attack and relying even more on Ventus' support and over-the-counter meds to not fall into a constant state of anxiety might be the result, and this time she might not succeed in nevertheless interacting normally with Nathan for a while, although she'll hate that. But the fear of approaching him is bigger. This way though, no secrets that affect more than one character are kept longer than necessary.
2. Keep Orthros hidden from her as long as even possible, awaiting until she seemingly feels better and confident again to trust Nathan completely. Prevents a strong reaction like in the first option, but the aftermaths could be more serious in she'll certainy need Ven's help and meds, because her freshly rebuild confidence in Nathan as well as self-confidence got slapped again. Rebuilding that broken trust might take shorter than on the first option though.
Both options have their pro and con, neither is better than the other. Certainly Shiva will explain why she reacts the way she does to the dream demon, and dear Kyuu's (Espurr) apparant origin will be revealed as well to the group. As for Mesprit, there is in my view no need to tell the others about is unless the plot strongly calls for it. 'Inferior because she is the only one that hasn't met a Legend'... :C I'll solve this by having Shiva find Legendaries overrated and being way more fond of Mythical Pokemon.
Aye yai yai...knowing that there's not really any way to soften the blow isn't making this any easier...unless you have any ideas for how that might be done? Part of the reason Nathan's not showing everyone now is because he's trying to show that Delta Houndour are just like any other pokemon, after all...maybe if Nathan explains why he didn't think it would be that big a problem? That the only reason he didn't say anything sooner is because of 1. his own concerns (but those might have already been stated by now) and 2. Ventus's insistence that he keep it quiet for a little longer? I don't know, just trying to throw out a few ideas here...
One flaw with that logic is that Genesect is mythical, not legendary, so...yeah...
