Simply because she doesn't enjoy talking about it and it's her thing, something she does desire to do and take care of alone. The phrasing of it being deception is more meant in the longer run, since she cannot estimate how things go on. It's better to not approach her with this topic please, since it'll be pretty hindering in reparing the crack of trust she holds for Nathan. It got a little better by now, but things are fragile with both Nathan and Ven(!) since while she is forgiving, she struggles to forget and everything will come back when triggered. Ven has the small boni that he became a close friend meanwhile and he REALLY expressed that he's sorry for what he did and promised to make up for that by being supportive to her, something she greatly values already before things went problematic due to his overprotectivenes towards Nathan.
