As long as Nathan is not trying to outright steamroll Ventus, then everything is muy Bueno to me. If he does go all out to legitimately crush both them and Shiva, Ventus is just going to out and out forfeit the match, as he wants a friendly battle, not a contest of wills or strength. Since that would be counter productive for both their goal to understand the power of the Vishnu ship, and Ven's Pokémon doesn't get any XP for their hard effort.

Just don't try and outright steamroll Nathan in turn.  Michael's Round 1 didn't exactly look like he was pulling his punches very much, since both Grid and Starmie could have been downed instantly were it not for the shenanigans Nathan opted to use instead of all out attacking.
