( .......from that creepy laughter of yours, I'm assuming no good.)
A whole night of rest alongside Kellyn and a double-dosed black coffee the next morning clearly did some good to our Lucille. She apparently felt better, not "fine" though, but she soon managed to regain some of her calm and restrained attitude. To bring a bit space between herself and the incident, she also moved research to her home office for now. Well, it wasn't like she could do more there than analyse observations on paper and someday she had to return to the facility, but that was totally fine at the moment. [FunFact/Headcanon: Kellyn has a home office too. He only uses it to store tons of books and reports of missions taken as a Ranger, though.]
Soon some peace and silence found its way into their home. It wasn't the same "peace and silence" that dwelled back then after their marriage, or when they were young parents, but it was all those three could have asked for.
Highlight was Vitor coming home from one of his "I'll be gone hatching Pokemon-eggs and collecting berries"-afternoons, on which Lucille's Nucleon quickly and joyfully joined him, with his freshly breeded shiny (!) Eevee evolved into a nice green Espeon. It sure was hell of confusing for him that his own mother was the enemy the whole time and he had to cope with all this in the first place, but if she agreed that she had made mistakes in the past, his father forgave her and gladly accepted/got along with all that love she offered both of them, why shouldn't he try as well? After all, he was happy to have his parents around him. Or rather, back. No, he's never been angry at Kellyn for sending him away after he got to know the reason for it at the age of 9 (anything else, but never "angry" - he managed to accept his points in a certain way as he grew older and more mature), nor blaming him for a shitty childhood - in fact, he hadn't have such a "bad" life with his great aunt. Noone said it was an all-easy life, though. [insert all the "how fucked up he is on the inside"-stuff here] Bad tongues say Vitor's mum was "a scientific maniac horribly corrupted by radiation" (and that was yet expressed nicely), but in the long run, she was still his mum.
However, there was something hovering above the reunited familiy. Not like the overused shadow-cliche, no. This was more like an animal carefully observing its doomed prey, only waiting for an opportunity to inflict damage on them. From what Lucille told him about the cause of her emotional breakdown, how someone simply refused to shut up on her and how she cannot remember an actual face to it, Kellyn suspected no good. Must have been some total jerk owning some strong psychic-typed Pokemon who refuses to leave them alone... of course he adviced her to stay cautious and such, he assured to give up his own safety to rescue her (and Vitor) if needed, but noone was able to know when the time for the next strike arrived.
