Piloswine is just happy because he found a picture of a boarlike Pokemon goring a hunter. He doesn't really understand history, and he was not alive back when these were made.

Valder's roommate is a very old gentleman named Mortar. He's still training Pokemon despite his age - he likes Pokemon with the Sniper ability. At first he is a bit discomfited by how rough and tough Valder looks. Then he starts chuckling and trying to engage Valder in conversation. He tells some stories about the crazy things he did in his youth, like having his Ariados tie two Raticate tails together in double battle.
Valder is shy at first, but he can't help giving the gent an obedient ear as he tells his story. Valder feels suddenly relaxed and decides to go as far as to introduce himself formally (0.o) to the old man. "And this is Theo. He loves cheese! But, he's lactose intolerant, so it's hard to find".
Valder is currently happy, but looking at mount Sentry always puts him off a bit.
