Interestingly, there don't appear to be any restrictions on viewing scenes of what could have been if some events in his past had happened differently...

Which means that even though this strange device is only able to view alternate realities and universes, he can still view scenes of himself with his family...which is what he's been doing for over a day of 'our' time.

Mew's not present in any of those scenes, of course...nor Arbok, Felicia, Kyubi, Emily, Yang, nor any of the other people and pokemon he met since joining Team Rocket, as he'd never been exiled in that reality.

Seadra also didn't evolve for a loooonnnnggg time...long enough that his parents weren't around to see it...it was just him, Kingdra, and Sneasel when that happened...

Reiner wasn't sure what to feel about that...it was all just so...bittersweet.  He would have lead a mostly happy, uneventful life...but in the end...

'...Windos, if you're listening...please...please make it so I have a chance to finally see my mother in person again...I...want to show her just how much has changed in the past 4 years...well, maybe not everything that's changed, but...well, you know what I mean, I'm sure...if I have the opportunity for a second chance...I want to take it...'
