I do hope Ventus doesn't do anything particularly unfriendly if he and Shiva happen to encounter Pinsir at the Shelter since they don't know he was sent there...that's on my list of things for Nathan to do: find out if Pinsir is still there.

Unless Ventus knows its THAT specific Pinsir, he's likely just going to give it a wide berth and leave it be if its there. If it is there, he might ask questions about it to get a better idea where it came from, though, and/or if he recognizes it/its feelings. In the case that specific Pinsir is still there, he might just make a private adoption and have some a 'quality time' with the bug and Apsis by themselves at some point, if possible...

I'd prefer it if that was just left to be Nathan's thing, really.  He's the one putting in the little extra effort, after all, and I don't savor the idea of that extra effort going to waste...

I'll leave it alone for you/have Ventus deliberately ignore them, then, since I don't want my character to start causing OOC Conflict among us, instead of the game. Though, unless you are going to have Nathan adopt the Pinsir himself if its still there, I don't personally why removing it from the equation altogether would be such a bad thing, all things considered.

...Wait a moment, ARE you going to have Nate adopt the Pinsir if its there?
