Upon further consideration, you think that Hidden Power was actually Rock type, not Normal. The effect as the Unown faded was like the shattering of a stone wall, and obviously the Fighting type would have been SE.

Sheldon Round 3

"Daikatuna, Quick Attack! Hm, go easy you say? Ok, Feint Attack! But make it a double if necessary."

Slowking sends his strongest Water Gun angling toward the fish. He takes the extra second to absorb as much fuel as possible, letting it out with force just before Daikatuna fades.

Feint Attack cannot miss and has +1 dmg, so this is game over for Solomon. He goes off to dreamland with a smug look on his face. While fainted, his crown shows basically no sign of the etching on it.

As Orthros comes out to face Daikatuna, the crowd including Sheldon gasp as one. "Wow. Brainoar genes? Skull removal surgery? What is up with that...it's a Houndour, right? Well, my Pokemon are probably all new to you, so I guess it's only fair that Creshire would find a Pokemon that can surprise me!"

The rest of the crowd is really superstitious of this monstrosity, and backs up.

Orthros remains calmly at Nathan's side, already acting the part of loyal dog in a manner learned psychically from Nathan's past and the training of Nathan's other Pokemon.

Initiative: (5) So once again, Nathan is going first.

Sheldon Round 4

"Wrong on both counts, Sheldon.  I'll tell you a bit more about him after our battle.  Assuming you're interested in hearing about him, of course.  I'm actually very loosely familiar with most of your pokemon, but this is my first time seeing them in person.  I've got a few questions of my own about some of the pokemon you have registered in that 'dex, so I'd say we have a fair exchange of information in the works."

"Oh, and like I said, Orthros has been cooped up for 2 weeks.  Mostly due to safety concerns, both for him and those around him.  He's really loyal once you've earned his trust, though, and there shouldn't be any cause for concern about him misbehaving (this part is mostly stated for the crowd's peace of mind).  I'd appreciate it if Daikatuna didn't just outright maul him, by the way, since this is his first battle with me, much like with Solomon.  Plus, I'd still like to see what your other pokemon is capable of, so I'd hate to see this battle cut short because I'm clearly completely outmatched."

Nathan scratches Orthros behind the ears.  "Good boy.  Alright, let's go get 'em, shall we?  This is going to be tough, but I'm sure you'll give Sheldon here a good showing, right?  How about you show me a few good Embers?  Do be careful if you see some really powerful attacks coming, though."
