Well...that was an anti-climactic ending to that battle...good thing I wasn't seriously attempting to win it...

I was kinda surprised you actually bet money on the fight, since it seemed like you didn't have to cough any up to showcase Slowking and Orthros to Sheldon AND the fact that he's overwhelmingly strong to boot even if he was not being serious. Seemed like you were throwing your Poke away at that point for no real good reason, both in and out of character.

There's a reason: Sheldon wasn't there to battle, remember?  Some compensation was in order for that unintended showcase, no?  Nathan's got plenty o' cash on hand still anyways (still got over 2k, lol).

If you wanted to compensate him, then just showing Nate's Rare Pokémon and offering Insight into the situation would have sufficed in my opinon, but its not my place to say what you do with your Poke, just offer my opinion on the matter. For me, I don't like wasting resources on things that I don't stand a decent chance from benefiting from, so I guess my perception skewed my thoughts on the matter.
