Besides, people, since Shiva is not very fond of Deltas outside Holon + the fact that the Houndour is a dream demon, Ventus doesn't like Orthros anyway, Heart displays fascination + liking for Deltas and Valder is impartial/neutral about that so far, Nathan most likely won't part ways with the Delta Houndour, what would actually be so bad about only revealing the dog to Heart and maybe Valder? I'm not sure about Ventus... But none forces Nathan to reveal Orthros to Shiva, he might also decide to abstain from it for her own good.

Sure, that'd need a bit of hassle when feeding Orthros, caring for him etc., but I feel it'd be certainly doable.

Besides...

If Shiva would be to encounter an obvious Deltamon during journey through Chresire, she'll likely faint it, catch it, then send it to Professor Mallorn with the plea to contain it and send it back to where it came from.
