A bystander approaches Nathan with a cell phone. "Caught the whole thing on video. That was a pretty sketchy battle. I'm not sure he quite broke any League rules, but if he harasses you in the future, do you want this video sent to your email as evidence?"

First things first: healing that poison with the provided items.  Calam's glaring back at that trainer as he leaves while Nathan's getting this video business sorted out...

"Please.  People like him...*sigh*...I pity them somewhat.  Doesn't excuse their actions, though.  They'd be surprised what opportunities are available if they were just a little more open minded, didn't blame other people and pokemon for something someone else did.  I hope he enjoyed taking that failed Sludge Wave.  At least he had enough decency to honor the terms agreed to and give me some poison healing items after the fact..."

Well, Calam and Kirlia definitely kept it short.  That battle left a sour taste in Nathan's mouth, though.

"Come on Calam, we'll get you back to the Center so you can rest.  That looked...brutal.  No time to get you healed properly, unfortunately, but you can relax in the PC for awhile.  I'm sure Starmie, Grid, and the bees will be more than happy to keep you company."

Returning to the Center, Nathan deposits Calam and Starmie into the PC, and withdraws Porygon-Z.

Despite how unfortunate that battle had been, it was fortunate that Nathan had managed to get the needed funds to pick up Rotom from the Shelter.  And also fortunate that Kirlia remembers the way to the Shelter...

Once at the shelter...

Nathan walks into the Shelter with Porygon-Z by his side, Kirlia recalled for now (walking around with a pokemon that's rather damaged for an extended period of time doesn't leave the best impressions, after all.)  Nathan's quick to get down to business.

"Hey, I'm back.  Rotom's still here, right?  Had a stroke of luck, won a rather difficult battle and got the last of the funds I needed to afford the cost to adopt it.  Wanted to pick up Rotom sooner rather than later considering the...situation.  You guys gonna be okay if things go sour?"
