Throat Chop and Laser Focus both sound neat for Weavile to learn, as it gives him more offensive capabilities and silences pesky Pixilate Hyper Voice users with a blow to the wind pipe! The former can also be users on Trainers to effectively silence them and prevent orders from being called out, while the later could help with Alertness checks since they are REALLY paying attention to their surroundings. Laser Focus on Kingdra also allows Critical Hits to be more of a thing with Draco Meteor Spam too, but you use DD and Speed X liberally with Zen State to correct that vast majority of your Accuracy problems anyway, so not as useful with the queen of the sea as its for Weavile, sadly.
The big problem with Laser Focus in battle is while it makes the next move you land an automatic crit, it doesn't make it an automatic hit. And it takes an action to use which you could have spent using your next move instead. Unless your foe is really, really bulky (only 1 die in the damage pool, 2 dice if your pokemon has Sniper), a crit isn't going to have more potential damage than using the same move twice (particularly since crits don't ignore your stat drops and your foe's stat increases in pokerole). I do kinda like the alertness buff idea, though.
Yeah, Throat Chop is a rather mean move if you can make good use of its effects.
Oh yeah, right, Liquidation is a new tutor move as well...only Mew can learn that among Reiner's pokemon, though. Carracosta also gets it through both tutor and egg move now, so that's fun. Though Ea already knows plenty of water moves, so...but it is the only lethal water attack in pokerole so far as well...
