However, it's not like Shiva (who'll likely notice first) or practically anyone knows about you having picked up flowers, and everyone deserves to do their own stuff from time to time without comments from the travel companions, not carrying how strange it may be. Just my call.

That's why I phrased things the way I did: Nathan's waiting for someone else (or everyone) to catch up, hanging with his pokemon and picking those magenta flowers while he does so.

The flower thing is just what's going to lead into Masq's introduction (and it's unlikely these exact circumstances are going to be available again soon).
