These were Arial's companions as he fitfully languished in his Fainted state in this black void of his inner self, mind foggy from the abuse he had suffered past and present.
He had been here so long that he had grown used to the feeling, but that didn't mean he found it any less than unpleasant.
Trapped between wakefulness and true unconsciousness, feeling only the very worst that a human could experience for what seemed like an eternity....such an existence would have driven others mad long, long ago.
Its fortunate then that he was already insane, and cheerfully misanthropic on top of that, so he found himself mostly bored and frustrated with being made infeeble by the Vampire.
That soon changed, however, when he heard a smooth, silkly, and Dark chuckle slither into his ears, causing him to involuntarily shudder at the sensation.
Who...what was that?
Oh, don't worry about the details, little jester. They only needlessly complicates things in the end, after all! Now, since you've been out of action for so long, and you play just as an important role as the little drake, I've decided some compensation of your time is in order. I do hope you enjoy, hehehe...."
In an instant, you began to she....visions.
Whether they be visions of the past, present, or future, you can not tell, but you began to see events' play out in your mind's eye...
In a condemned, derilect building, you see swarms of Corrupted Nuclear Pokémon wander aimlessly and patrol the hallways, letting out viscous snarls and pained wails on occasions as their new found condition tormented their bodies, minds, and SOULS. Your view then focuses on a specific set of electronic metal sliding doors, and you could her the faint sound of sobbing emanating from behind them, and a sense of profound loss hits you in the metaphorical gut. The scene soon changes, though, your view panning away from the doors and going straight through several floors, until zooms over and stops at the inner most sanctum of this facility. In here, you see what look's to be a small well insulated nuclear reactor, several pieces of loose leaf notes scattered throught the floor, and a number of tables with scientific equipment whose use and function is far beyond your comprehension. Over by a table near the reactor stood somebody fully decked out in the finest anti radiation equipment imaginable, hovering over a complicated and convulted machine hooked up to the irradiating power source, with what looks to be a Pokeball inserted in a port of the device.
"Soon, soon, I will have done it! I will have created the ULTIMATE Pokémon, one who's powers surpasses and crushes even the might of the Legendaries and Mythics! Yes, yes, yes, the world will know of its power, the power I CONTROL, and will have rued the day they sought to repress my research and blacklist me! Fool, fools they are all! We'll show them the true meaning of SCIENCE, thurst it upon them and bring about a new era of progress the likes of which has not been seen since the Second War World, whether they like it or NOT! HeheheheheHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
The vision soon ended after that, the mad scientist crackling echoing as the scene changed into a less sinister setting....
But one filled will far more devesation and destruction.
A small town, normally the very definition of picturesque and quant, lay in utter ruin. Houses burned, business were demolished, with only a few structures still intact at this point. The streets were shattered, brokened, and turned into a jagged mess that spanned throught the town. People lay dead in the streets, caused by a myriad number of factors (Burning, crushed, melted?, shot,etc..) and the rest were screaming in fear and anguish at the horror of the atrocity commited this day. The only place that seemed to be untouched by the disaster that hit the town was the Research Lab, and standing directly outside its opened doors were two men. One tall, slim scientist in a white research cloack and wearing specs with a look of distraught, disbelief, and hatred in his eyes. You felt a sense of urgency, fear, RAGE, wrath, but an undercurrent of pervasive defeat coursed through him, as if all those other emotions were for naught.
The other men, though, was decked out in black skin tight long sleave shirt, a Gunmetal Grey Overcoat that lay unbuttoned ,what looks to be some form of body armor beneath those articles of cloathing, rugged and durable looking grey denium jeans, and a pair of black steel toe boots. He also had navy blue beret on his head that covered his hair, and a pair of shades that completely obscured his eyes, and a had a casual, almost genial smile on his face as he stood across from the scientist, hands in the pockets of his coat and at total ease with the situation. "Professor Elm," he said, his gruff, yet oddly sylbac voice carrying a conversation tone as he took out a hand from his coat and gestured to the state the town was in with utter indifference. "Now that you've seen what refusual will lead to, how about you cooperate with me instead now? All I want is your research, your supply of Starter Pokémon, supplies and your equipment- all your life's work, basically- and I'll leave you and New Bark Town in peace and quiet. Hehe, well, its in pieces now and everybody and thing is marking an awful lot of racket right now, but I'm sure everything will be fine in the end. That is, if you agree to my simple, earnest request. What do you do say, Professor?"
The scene faded away as Proffesor helm clenched his fist and grit his teeth at the man before him, until he bowed his head in total defeat, and silently gestured them to follow them into the Research Building.....
However, the visions were not yet done intruding, and the next one depicted a man carrying a baby in a plastic bag with a methodical, determined look on his face, until he reached a specific trash can. The man, who's face looks so much like your own, hestitates for a brief moment, indecision and regret layered onto his expression, before he let out a sight and, with utmost gentleness, place the baby in the waste receptacle. He mumbled some words at the infant now lying in the refuse of society, before pivoting to leave the area, a stoic frown etch into his hard, tear streaked face. "Its for the best. Oland will be around here will soon find him, and he'll raise him right and teach them what is necessary for their survival in the future. I wish there was another way, a way that I didn't have to do this to safeguard and ensure you live, a way that I can raise you myself and be the father you deserve, but their isn't. Oland is the father you need, not me. ....You'll hate me for abandoning you, and what will come to pass in your life will test you and threaten to break you down into a wretch of a man, but I know it won't. I have ensured it will not by doing this for you. You will become strong, and will be able to endure all the world's evil with a smile on your face. You'll find a friend that will help you as you try to help them, and together you'll make it through whatever difficulties that lay before you."
" ......................"
"Good-bye, my son."
Your head bolts up as you are forcibly ejected from your Fainted State and the visions you suffered through, and you take a few ragged breaths as you processed everything you experienced, before taking a look around you. Currently, you were on a old, worn out mattress with a covered drapped over you, and rest beside you an equally old night stand was a bowl that had the reminates of a foul smelling mixtures and a half empty glass of water. Their was also a dresser at the foot of the mattress, a wardrobe a couple meters away from the bed, and a table with a couple of chairs, but besides that the whole room was a sparten (plain and empty) affair altogether. Your mouth had the taste of sour, bitter ashes in your mouth, and as you looked around you noticed a wide pane of glass that acted as both a wall and window of the room, and a doorway that lay a few meters diagonally in front of you. On the whole, this place look like it had not been used in decades, yet was well made enough to withstand the rigors of time and neglect, and right now you were right in the middle of it all
Now that you were awake, what would you do?
Its Late Night Now, and it will be awhile before Reiner and Co will track down the location of this place. Make use of the time before that wisely now!
Action: Search to see if the Pokemon is with him and search the room.
