Notes: The Ninjask have been chattering in the plants for most of today's walk.

Besides an Oddish paying a surprise visit to the campsite and getting themselves stuck in a pitrap before she could savage it with a Fire/Ice Fang, night had been a mostly sedate and boring affair for Apsis. She was greatly relieved pleased when the dawn finally arrived, the sun cresting over the horizon and bathing her beautiful purple scale with its warming rays of lights, and heralding the rise of her master and the rest of his companions. Unfortunately for her, however, Ventus was not the first one out in the tent in the morning to greet her with head pats and cuddles, but instead the regal snake was treated to (in her esteemed opinion) of that stubborn brat Nathan, who proceeded to do whatever he wanted to do. As if she cared what he got himself into, besides either a mess that forces her master to bail them out or a disaster that gravely injure or embarrasses him, preferably the later! After all, she much rather have him live in shame and have a good hissing laugh at his expense than him dead and master and, ugh.... Shiva unhappy.

Mood successfully soured, Apsis elected that instead of hanging around with him and suffering his presence until her master arose in the morning, she'd slithered off to do some early morning hunting and bulk up some more for the lean period in town, and make her way back to Ventus' side when he finally arisen. Plan set and made, the giant snake threw the boy a contemptuous glare (not that type!) and a dismissive flick of her tail, before taking off into the underbrush. In a relatively short amount of time, she managed to stumble upon a tasty Ninjack, and just as she readied herself to snap her neck out to gobble it up, the bug suddenly detected her and let out a shrill cry of alarm, heralding the rest of its swarm and rallying them to drive off or slay the Arbok! Quickly, things began to get out of hand for it despite repeatidly lashing out at individual Ninjack with Ice Fang, causing her to fully raise her body in the air in an act of intimidation and let out a loud *HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSSS* at the swarm, broadcasting her angry and distress about the situation she was in quite clearly to anyone listening....

Order: Have Apsis go off hunting by herself and stumble on the Ninjack encounter, before she inadvertidly alerts Nathan/Ventus the huge mess she's gotten herself in. This is my way of naturally get both Nathan and Ventus to work together on this, and its a nice test to see if a large swarm of Pokémon can wear down his giant snake, or if her using Ice Fang 3 times per round will be enough to keep her afloat? I guess we'll find out soon enough, won't we?
