Several minutes after Nathan and Ven had their small talk, they arrived at the scene... And under the first few things she notices is that Nathan was carrying what strongly looks like a Pokemon Egg! Her breeder genes awoke and got the better of her. Or so it seemed... "Uhm, we're back then and we're... wait a moment... Where did you found that Pokemon Egg meanwhile, Nathan? You have an incubator for it?" However, she did not ask whether he already checked on the species, neither gave any sign that she could. That Almanac of hers was hers and only her business (unless plot reasons).

Still fairly deadpan, but slightly brighter now.

"It was floating down the river unattended.  Lost or abandoned, I have no idea.  No, I don't have an incubator on me.  Bit of a silly thing to carry around without an egg, wouldn't you say?"
