You can hear a few radios begin pattering on the south side from the more modern buildings and the Pokemon Center. Finally, deep, broad drums join the music from the Eternal Bonfire - BOOM ba ba BOOM ba ba BOOM ba ba. Politoed and humans work these massive brass and hide instruments.

Far away in the North, a tiny tiny answering hum can be felt in resonance, but only if you stand near the big boulders around the Eternal Bonfire. All over the Swamp, the Mamo are performing their morning ritual.

The sun cuts through the haze, and you can see just how fragile Arrowroot Village is, surrounded by marshlands on every side. Route 10 is a mere ribbon of civilization leading to a muddy dot piled with sticks and concrete.
