The Potions Ventus creates taste pretty bad, but not as bad as Energy Root. More importantly, they work!
For others who wish to invest in the Medicine skill, or for Crafting items, any combo that sounds like it will work and costs about 75% of the finished product, deserves a roll. Most recombinations will take up an encounter slot. And they get easier the more you do them.
