I feel Braixen wouldn't be too much afraid of Apsis as he's a future Psychic Type and can ward her off with his enlighted basswood stick? At least technically, but it does not matter too much, as 1. Shiva will prevent any conflict between her fox and his snake by recalling Braixen into safety and rest before things get heated, 2. it's comprehensible that Ventus wants to protect himself from her fox, so not blaming for keeping Apsis's Pokeball ready. Ready, preferably no summoning of her.
