It took a few moments of meaningful silence until she was the one who broke this silence in a soft voice. "How long... I actually don't know. In fact, I don't even know whether this really are 'affectionate feelings', but to be very honest, I did notice eventually that despite our slight age gap, you have the potential to let me anxiously-joyfully hope for more when time has told... Ehm... but, however...though..." Now she quickly moved her gaze to meet his, the smile somewhat fading. "I don't want that anything drastically or negatively changes between us just because possibly me or YOU maybe hold such feelings! I...just want to stay by your side." After having spoken out those few words, Shiva just...leaned into his shoulder, both feeling comfortable and uncomfortable there.

The researcher looked bashful/pensive as he let Shiva speak her mind about her feeling for him uninterrupted and without comment, using it both as an opportunity to gauge how truly her words reflected her inner desires and to corral his own emotions into proper order. When his dearest friend? expressed fears of their relationship being negatively affected by these feelings of her (or his, for that matter), he let out a sigh and gave her a simple hug to try and help them calm down.

"Shiva, you fondness for me and the kisses we shared have not and will never impact of friendship in a deleterious way. You are my closest, most cherished friend I have, one that I would never take for granted or forshake for any reason, even if you might......like me. I don't see the appeal myself, and the age difference is worrisome for one such as myself, but if have a crush on me I don't mind at all, nor do I mind if we just remain as we are. If you wish for our friendship to be more than that, though......I wouldn't mind that either. But only if you truly desire such a thing, Shiva. Regardless of what you choose, know that you always will have you in my corner, as you have me in your own," Ventus quietly replied, leaning out of the hug to give her a plain smile that brooked no judgment or critisim.

He then let her go completely, and went to his satchel to retrieve some cloths before heading to the bathroom, saying over his shoulder: "Now that we've resolved this mystery surrounding last, I believe I'll take a shower and get changed into cleaner cloths. We can grab breakfast and Nathan later, and perhaps we can make more headway on summoning the Southern Wind Incarnate. The sooner we can get to the bottom of that claim, the sooner we can obliterate the vines that shroad Stair like a green Poisonous Gas cloud...."
