I was doing some thinking about Little Cup and ended up running into the Inflagetah problem once more. Flame Impact's has +2 priority, a good attacking type (which is STAB on all the Pokemon that can learn it), and an extremely high speed of the Pokemon that learn it. Together these make it very strong, but not unbeatable because it doesn't have the highest base power. What breaks these Flame Impact Pokemon is that they also get Belly Drum, which completely negates the damage issue, leaving us with a move that can't be outrun and hits all but one or two Pokemon with a guaranteed OHKO. It should be noted that the same could arguably be said for Extreme Speed, albeit to a lesser extent.
Now with all this in mind, there has been a lot of talk about banning Inflagetah because of this (including from me). However, there has also been a good deal of backlash to this idea, as people tend to be resistant to their favorite Pokemon being banned, understandably so. So, I thought of a compromise and would like to see what people think of it:
Instead of banning these Flame Impact Pokemon, why not ban having Flame Impact (and maybe Extreme Speed) and Belly Drum in the same set. I generally tend to be against super specific/situational bans like this, but I think this may be one of those cases where it's necessary. Thoughts?
