Kyuu purrs against you, but when you 'awaken' or refocus on the world, he gives a startled cry and a hint of psychic energy pours out into the world. Shiva feels his startlement quite directly. It is not comfortable, after the relaxation she just experienced, but she manages to slip right back into the calming aura of the solid cottonwood tree. Through Nightshade, she can almost feel it growing.
