Ah, I getcha. Essentially, we have to decide if we are to press onwards using the Tailwind to make significant progress and suffer those consequence, or stay for the night here and work out a way to keep us safe and sound (And Stair suffers either way, so...). Hmm.... would using Rapidash and Lucifer as Lightsource/scouts help mitigate the dangers of traveling at night with the Metagross? I ask this since I personally want to press on ahead to either Mt. Sentry or to the far western tip of the Great Divide, as that mountainous location is the only spot that perfectly matches Gothitelle's visions.
