Let me just be clear on a few things here:


- Whenever Orthros is out, he's always been by Nathan.  And he's not been next to Shiva and Ventus.  He's not interpreting the 'keep the distance' as 'always keep the dog recalled whenever anyone else is around'.  That'd be silly.  He'd be recalled off and on all the dang time if that was the case.

I said Nathan was on the opposite side of the bonfire for a couple reasons, and that was one of them (don't know how Orthros ended up next to Shiva during the ritual, but eh.  Guess he wanted to run around because of how happy everything was).  I didn't have Nathan approach Shiva back in Arrowroot for that reason and a few others as well.  And considering Nathan was physically holding the dog, I don't see the issue with 'keeping him away' when the dog is perfectly happy with staying right there in Nathan's arms.

- Orthros is NEVER going to like Ventus the way things are now (Ventus has an amazing track record with fire types so far, doesn't he?  Out of the 5 in the party, 2 of them hate him basically for life, one of them is moderately ticked off at him, and the 4th just doesn't really think about things too deeply and just doesn't care [and that's of course the one Ventus owns].).  Why would Orthros like someone who murdered his kin without any remorse?  It's similar to why Braixen hates Ventus's guts (which is an issue Ventus, Braixen, and Shiva would have to work out faaaaarrrr down the line, because that's going to cause problems eventually for similar reasons to what's going on with Orthros.  Can't keep Braixen in his pokeball 99% of the time just because Ventus is almost always around.)

- Ignore Orthros all you like as Shiva and Ventus, but please don't burn ALL the bridges just because of the dog.  Nathan will interact just fine as long as you're leaving the dog alone (Orthros isn't really going to care too much for the most part, and he can progress past cowering from Ventus as long as Ventus isn't constantly threatening him), and Shiva can even let Kyuu (and maybe Yena) hang with Orthros as well.  And if you can progress it to being just baseline polite (saying hello and not much else and the like) instead of outright ignoring, great (this applies moreso to Shiva than Ventus.  The dog's more than happy to be friendly towards her).

- Nathan's only ever said more about Orthros if the topic is brought up by someone other than him.  I'm not trying to cause any problems, I'm just trying to use the damn dog, and everyone keeps giving me flak for it.  Shiva is even guilty of this in a small way, but Ventus is the big offender.

TLDR; Just let me use the damn dog.

Phew...there, I've said my piece.  PLEASE don't make me say it again.

- (First two points) If you have Nathan tell Ventus he's been deliberately keeping Orthros far away and/or busy while out near Shiva and him, that would improve relations betweem our characters somewhat, as it show mine that yours is actually being considerate of the trouble it causes (Which is one of the main reasons he's not so happy with Nathan keeping it around (Inconsiderate of Shiva's/His Feelings), other than just him being plain prejudiced).

-Ventus is fine with Orthros not liking him, as the hate would be mutual, comfortable, and stable at that point if the dog doesn't try to get on his nerves by attempting friendship. Braixen......is something I will eventually have to work out with Shiva, but Swiftfire (if that is the one irritated with me) was completely accidental (and easily mendle if given the chance), and I purposely made Hanael that way to match her ability, and because I was going for the gentle giant approach with her character.

-I don't know, all I see left of the bridge is ash and burnt pieces of rope......I'm kidding, of course. Once our characters agree to disagree for the last time on Orthros, the healing process can more or less begin in earnest/continue where we left of in the swamp/Arrowroot clinic. He's just going to ignore the dog if possible for now on, and/or come to some sort of agreement with it that both of them leave each other alone if at all possible.

-Fair. Try not to bring up Ditto and Orthros breeding together around Ven, though, but you could discuss the topic with Shiva and get her reaction for character building reason, to throw this point out their again.

TDL: Ok, and Nathan and Ven can be friend again after some work.
