He successfully guides the entire roped train about three quarters of the way up the spire. Valder accidentally drops a twig he was chewing on and you all watch as it falls a couple hundred feet to the frosty floor below.

Looking down at Lucifer's insistence, the party sees a horrifying sight: a stony Pokemon is climbing rapidly up the spire, sinking long wrist blades deep into the earth to haul itself up with surprising speed. A reticulated body and rocky helmet tip you off that this is a Pokemon you have only ever seen as a model in a museum: the terrifying and deadly Kabutops.

As Kabutops slices toward you, a ball of frost above unfolds itself, revealing a Beartic. Beartic starts walking vertically down the cliff, his feet sticking to the thin layer of frost which ends mere feet above his location. Two Gliscor launch themselves from the cave, and the fin of a Gible is visible as it swims through the muddy mountain toward where you are magnetically and craftily affixed to the cold mountainside!
