All that needs to happen is dealing 1 damage to a Gliscor!
Even with the breakneck pace and CHAOS that all battles tend to descend into and low visibility brought upon by night + Sandstorm, Ventus Insightful natural, powerful empathy and sharp eyes let keep up with everything that was happening and react as appropriate. Contrary to his expectectations and to his great surprise, it seemed that some of these Pokémon were not apparently out to take life and limb of everyone here, with the Gliscor in particular being EXTREMELY magnanimous despite being the aggressor(s) in battle. Intitially this greatly confused the researcher (greatly diminishing his wrath over being Ambushed in the process), as he knew from both his education and hands on/field experience that wild Pokémon rarely afforded mercy/kindness towards foes. Heart's failed capture attempt and Kabutops and their warning caused the empath's eyes to widen at the revelation: these Pokémon were being commanded by someone or THING.
'What in Reshirim's name, something is commanding and coordinating the offensive defense of this viscous mob?! Does that mean their are more unseen guardians waiting to repulse us, or their is a diabolical force that is trying to prevent us from accomplishing our task? Gragh, we do not need these unforeseen difficulties standing in our way, especially when we are so close to achieving our goal! Rain, Hail, or raging Sandstorm, I will NOT let who or WHAT ever get away unmolested for this trepass against us all!!!' Ventus furiously thought to himself, swift to recall Lucifer when the combination of the raging sands and frigid assault nearly cut their flight short as they were KOed, which caused him to level a withering glare at the rather cold hearted Bearartic partially responsible for this. Oh, he's going to have some nice, quality time with them to express just how much he appreciates their frigid action once the battle was concluded.....
That was neither here nor there, of course. He and Raphael (who had blessidly remained unharmed for the most part) still had enemies to wage war against their opponents, though fortunately their was only a heavily wounded Gliscor remaining to focus on. Which the archangel did so with Extreme Speed and prejudice, not needing to be ordered to know that their master wanted the scropiobat wings clipped pronto!
Order: Raphael will just focus on doing one Extreme Speed on the wounded Gliscor, for both maximum hit chance, Crit chance, AND to prevent it from getting off any checky moves like Knock Off or Gullotine. Time to black out, bat!
That was what I really needed to see to move on easily! Extreme Speed has Priority 2 so there should be no problems unless the dice decide to hate you beyond any probability.
Earth Guardians Round 2
Extreme Speed
(5)(5)(3)(1)(2)(5)(4)
(6)(6)(4) Gliscor faints.
Ventus and Heart also paralyze all the Pokemon.
Cottonee is revived, blinking at the dramatic aftermath of the battle.
Great Ball on Beartic.
(2)(1)(2)(6) vs
(2)(5) The bear is not rejected the way Kabutops is, but it does bust out without harming the ball.
Shiva tries again.
(4)(3)(3)(5)
(1)(2)
Beartic was caught!
After investigating the captured Pokemon, Shiva is now sure of it: this Beartic has Ground-type properties. Heart investigates too, and it is his opinion that this Ground type is a lot like having a Grass/Ghost extra type from Phantump/Pumpkaboo!
Ice/Ground*
Snow Cloak
