Kirlia still casts worried glances at Ventus.  That hadn't stopped him before...

Well, Nathan doesn't plan to do anything stupid, really...if this man is who Nathan thinks he is...the last thing he would want to do is get on his bad side...best try to focus on something else right now...

"...thank you for helping Kirlia, Aspis..."

Maybe this time, she'll accept the meat Nathan's offering her.  That oughta get Ventus's attention...even if it is completely unintentionally since Nathan's not quite sure what Aspis is trying to tell him and Kirlia's too preoccupied to help Nathan with that...

Nathan's also still holding Orthros to keep warm, but there definitely shouldn't be any problems with that since he's KOed, right?  Nathan's holding him reeeaaallly close, though...

The archangel,  in linue of trying to assunge them of their doubts and fears vocally, decided to wrap a wing around them in a comforting, reassuring hug. Sometimes, when words/chirps fail to help make others feel better, some physical affection is needed instead!

Apsis lets out a huff when the boy off thanks her for doing such a simples task, but none of the less nodded her head and didn't react in any overly negative way. Progress! When he offered a meaty treat to accompany his words, the regal snake gave him a long, appraising look, flicking her flicking her forked while staaaaring him straight in the eyes.....before reaching forward to pluck it from their hand and cawing down. Nathan was not asking her to do anything that goes against her nature/rearing, and she appreciated the offer of food even if she didn't think particularly highly of the boy, so down the hatch it goes, *Gulp!* As for Orthros, she had decided that since they were currently Fainted and was tied to the boy, they didn't pose a threat to her or their master, so after giving it one withering look for good measure decided to ignore them for the time being.

Just as Nathan hoped Ventus DID notice this change of behavior/feeling in his beloved giant snake, and turned to see the young trainer giving them a treat. Despite his current anxiety/stress /focus/feeling towards Nathan, the empath couldn't help but raised an eyebrow and give them a curious look, as the last time he checked they didn't exactly care for his choice in Poisonous reptiles.... Hmm....
