[Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel

[Dragonstrike]

- First off, the memory of that strange dragon in the mirror...the dragon that Mew would instantly recognize as Giratina herself in her altered form...it's...off-putting.  But considering Reiner's revealing this through indirect means that aren't entirely his fault, that should hopefully avoid at least some of the...passionate responses that are going to occur.

- Second, the various meetings with...well, do I need to say who?  Coincidentally, this also involves the line concerning Giratina having a massive crush on Reiner, though he hasn't put two and two together yet himself.

- And third...there's Taylor.  Lots of it.  And first up is...Reiner's first meeting with Taylor.

7 Years Ago...

The view from the rickety, abandoned house at the top of the mountain was beautiful.  Not that Horsea seemed to care.  She'd just been dragged up here against her will, after all!  She was rather cross with this 'Jeff' and the cloaked figure that seems to be his trainer.

"Oh, pipe down, ya silly seahorse.  Ya wouldn't have been able to get up here without him, anyways.  Besides, if ya hurt him, Lucy here is gonna have a word with ya.  And not a nice one, ya here?"

Horsea doesn't calm down after that.  Just tries to get away from Jeff unsuccessfully, now trying to take extra care to not hurt him in any way.  The last thing she wants is to get shocked by that bird!

'Just calm down please, Horsea.  We're fine, alright?  Just...come here already, wouldja?'

Reiner goes over to the small pond to pick Horsea up carefully.  She glares at Jeff.  Nobody drags her around like that!  Jeff just playfully squirts some sparkling water at her...which only makes her angrier.  Reiner has to physically get her away from the water before she throws a tantrum...

'...*sigh*...okay, who are you really?  Why the interest?  I'm not anybody particularly important.  And why the cloak and hood?'

"...*chuckle*...curious little bugger, aren't ya?  Let's just say I'm not from around here.  Well, I kinda am.  Kinda not.  That's all I can really say.  We're not here to talk about totally not important me, though, a girl who's just trying to make do with what she's got...for now."

Taylor walks up to Reiner and playfully pokes his chest.  Were it not for the bird crackling with electricity on her shoulder, Horsea would have angrily squirted the stranger with water right then and there!

"We're here to talk about you...:

Taylor then swiftly turns around and points at a dark corner of the room.

"...and him."

...which happens to be where Sneasel is...tied up.  The cat's angrily glaring at her.

"Caught him trying to steal from my little stash of items up here.  Seemed particularly interested in the catnip I had lying around from when I was trying to lure him to me earlier.  He's good, but he lacks finesse.  I can help him with that, of course.  Though I doubt he'd listen to me, considering he seems to be oh so focused on you."

Reiner just stares, dumbfounded.

...and then he starts to look a little cross with Taylor too.

"...what the...you let him go, right now!"

"Tsk, tsk, so impatient...but alright.  Lucy?" 

The bird with the lightning bolt shaped head flies over and carefully slits the bindings with one of her talons, then deftly flies out of the cat's range before it can grab her.

"There.  He's free, as you requested.  I'm not here to make an enemy of you, ya know.  In fact, I need Sneasel's help.  And yours, for that matter...there's something...special about you.  I can't quite tell exactly what...but something's there, I guarantee it.  Ya see, I need help acquiring a particular item, but it's been proving to be difficult to do on my own..."

The rest of the conversation is a blur.  Seems Reiner's forgotten what it was Taylor was trying to obtain, since they never got around to trying to get it.  But there's a lingering, distinct feeling that whatever it is, it isn't in Blackthorn...
