"Yes, there are powerful magnetic fields in below-ground Mt Sentry, throughout the Divide, and in Mt. Molten. I actually have a setup whereby I can turn the entire Gym into a magnetic field, but I have to warn my neighbors, and it uses a lot of power, so that is not trivially done. Mt. Molten has the strongest one, due to a spinning conglomeration of liquid metal at its base. To the East and West of Trillium Town are long veins of metal ore, which luckily route much of the magnetic field away from sensitive electronics in the town."
