Just a bit of an update post (since I guess this will be my little space on the forum, haha).
I'm thinking about starting a consortium of artists in my community. It would basically be a periodic gathering of artists over various crafts and creative disciplines, both traditional and technical. So, musicians, game developers, painters, graphic designers, and so on. The idea would be for us to pitch and bounce around ideas about how we can use our creativity and skills to make the community a better place; this also entails working alongside people of many different disciplines and backgrounds in a collaborative manner (obviously, right?). Aside from this being a great way for me to be exposed to and build my skills in practically every art form for my own goals, it also falls into my own mission and vision of using art as a universal language to spread positive energy, messages, and influence to society and humanity at large.
The best part is that everyone involved would have an equal say, and a fair platform for their ideas to be heard and acknowledged. Otherwise it's not really "collaboration."
For now, I plan to limit the scope of the endeavour to the city I live in right now, but I'd love to extend it to the rest of Canada, and then to the world as a whole. While there are people who may not necessarily appreciate art in itself or art as a meas of conveying messages or spreading goodwill, pictures, melodies, and creative works as a whole do speak more loudly and clearly to humans overall than lengthy, droning lectures or speeches--especially when it comes to charity and benevolence.

It is by descending into the pits of one's personal hells to face them, conquer them, and make them part of one's strength that one realizes what's called "true power."
