Shiva remained an emotional void on the outside and a silently growing thunderstorm on the inside, but she was doing a fine job keeping herself under control. She has a valuable chance to win here, just as much as a chance to learn and practice in a controlled environment here, this is what she kept repeating in her mind to stay calm.
Only when her butterwolfly followed her call, gave everything he got on his probably last Bite and ended up channeling his energy wrong to not defeat his Psychic rival before being hit by an Ember in return, that facade of his Master was threathened to break. ...It didn't, though. She was clearly struggling now, but since SHE HERSELF desired this to be a friendly and fun battle and won't allow this to be spoiled in any way, she pulled herself through. Somehow. It was exhausting, but worth the effort.
When Yena came to her, Shiva kneed down to him to ruffle the fur on his forehead in an appreciating way not saying a word, before she gently stroked him under chin while motioning to look at his Master. The following words are probably not audible for Nathan unless he concentrates on them, as they're directly for Yena. "...Now, now. You did a fine job, we were just...out of luck it seems, but since this is practice, we'll learn and try again harder next time, okay? I've trained you to defeat Ghosts in the first place. Seems like we need to expand this to Psychic Types. For now...do enjoy your deserved rest..." Yena got recalled then, before Shiva got up again with her third Pokeball in hand already. She was alright. The figurative dragon to defeat has only bitten her in the hand, it wasn't all over yet. Oh, looks like she has to teach her Poochyena some manners as well, one does not slobber on other people's shoes. But maybe such a thing was inevitable if you're dealing with doglike Pokemon, maybe Yena even meant this affectionately.
This was also the moment she actually concentrated to her 'foe' and the battlefield again, when that...praise came to her? Huh?! She was not expecting it, but praise was sugary sweet. "Uhm... T-thanks, I guess? I'm trying... You were damn lucky that you defeated him. Well, eh... let us just keep on then."
