(Windos is busy with moving back to college dorm for today, I dunno when he's coming back online, so I guess I'll reply to this one then...?)

Shiva gets a few chances to hold the exclamation Pokemon herself, though mostly it stays on Ven's jacket. There is some climbing to be done to get near to the Ruins, especially where the decaying piles of vines are, and then the Pokemon stays with Shiva until it can float up to Ventus.

But when you reach the boundary of the safe part of the Ruins outskirts, beyond which you can see portentous wisps of purple gas, Unown expresses no interest in going farther. Ventus has a little communion with the enigmatic Pokemon. Seems the Pyschic type does not like Ghosts at all! Only the deepest layers are safe for an Unown.

Poochyena sniffs about alertly, and gains 1XP.

Ventus also gains 1XP.

That egg is indeed showing physical signs of hatching soon! It's weeping an oily substance from the shell, and sloshing around.

Holding a vivid exclamation mark was a weird experience, Shiva was somewhat sure that there was something powerful about that Unown. That's probably true for every Unown yet the power they hide within was a little different for each exemplar - or so she once read, she actually wasn't sure whether this was really true as she's never been close to these alphabetic Pokemon. She keeps '!' safe and close during climbing (ugh, climbing! Ugh, all these decaying vines...deserves them right!) but feels a little relieved when '! 'can float back to Ven.

Shiva may not have the communion like he did with '!', but she managed to pick up that it is feeling somewhat unsafe. Maybe worried. Certainly not interested in moving closer to the Ruins, definitely no blaming for such a sentimental. Ventus himself has likely already noticed as well, so it seems like the small group will be returning '!' to the Shelter then... Before departing though, Shiva gives these Ruins an unreadable glance over the shoulder. These wisps of purple gas... They gave her a cold shiver. They had such an unhealthy color... Something was going on there, for sure, though what it was...

On the way back to the Shelter, Shiva did two things: Updating herself on the known Layers of the Ruins with the help of own journal ('Hmm, naturally that Unown felt uncomfortable... Other kinds of it are only found below the tombs, within the Modern Ruins.') as well as very carefully touching that oily substance that deeply purple Mystery Egg is oozing. Was it...somewhat harmless or at worst poisonous to touch? Hopefully not corrosive...
