Day 46 begins!

Yesterday's clouds have become today's rain. The inhabitants call it a "ruster" and stay indoors as much as possible. But the stands of the battlefield have covers, so the Little Cup is good to go!

Nathan was up for a good portion of the night, trying to figure out what's going on with Kirlia, looking at his notes...

...trying to figure out what to do about Heart...

...having some of his most trusted pokemon nearby helps a ton...

...their bond...it feels more...tangible, now that he thinks about it.  Even as he looks at Kirlia sleeping by his side, the white noise from his pokedex helping to drown out the background noise of the city...

...they're really that close now, eh?

...the thought brings a smile to his face, and it helps him with getting a good night's sleep...

Unfortunately, he's still in a kinda sour mood in the morning.  He ends up walking past Ventus and Shiva during their breakfast in the lobby and heading directly outside with Forthright, the hood of his jacket up, his fedora in his bag.

It's not very subtle, and Kirlia gives Ventus and Shiva a semi-pleading look, trying to ask for their help, before he runs off to join Nathan in the rain.

It's a little bit of a happier atmosphere, standing there in the rain.  Or 'ruster', as the Stair locals call it, for obvious reasons.

Nathan doesn't care though.  It's rather rare that he gets to enjoy a cool rain such as this one, and he's enjoying every second while he can.

He's temporarily packed away the Primal Altaria Down so it doesn't get wet, and is sitting at an outdoor table with Kirlia and Forthright.

Forthright was rather startled during yesterday's battle.  The weather had changed so rapidly...and she had as well.  It wasn't something she'd been expecting, and it completely escaped Nathan's notice at the time.

But after the battle was over, he finally noticed Forthright had changed into her Dusty form:

And then again, into her Sunny form when Nightshade used Sunny Day:

The change had been rapid and startling for the newborn cloud.

And now, today, it was raining, so she was currently in her Rainy form:

Nathan's talking to her about her inherent abilities as a Castform, how she changes shape and type according to the weather, and will eventually be able to change the weather as she pleases to choose which form she takes.

It's a welcome distraction.
