Huuuh, Marill would probably love such rain. Vaporeon would as well. Her new tiny poisonous Skrelp might as well, but either they're not allowed to participate here or they're not registered, Shiva has already registered a full team to Little Cup. Speaking of an Eeveelution, she decided against searching fo these feral pack of Umbreon/Eevee of Stair City as during the rain they likely hide even more than they already do. When a heavy rainfall was hitting Castelia City once, Shiva ended up finding Spectral hidden behind some books on a high spot of her shelf, all curled out and resting/hiding from the rain right there being barely visible due to her black fur. How she has gotten there, Shiva didn't know.
A scientist... Something about them rang in Shiva's mind, weren't they fond of Electric and Poison Type...? Summoned to the battlefield to battle for her was Kyuu! The psychic kitten was still wearing the red tartan scarf that Master has gifted him, as well as an Oran Berry orignally taken from Pluse. "You'll get your Pink Apricorn back when you enjoyed the battle you wanted to have... I don't enjoy searching for it again if it gets knocked off of you, the next time we may not have that much luck."

At some point in between the matches, Shiva does two things:
Create a plushie out of the Cottonee-fluff. She might not be able to finish it today due to not much time and keeping to throw glances at the scoreboard, but all that stitching is acually quite a calming activity for her. It's already visible what species of Pokemon she going after: Precious Reshiram!
(Insert Crafting Roll here - how about instead of 'the more successes are rolled the cuter the plushie' it's 'the more noble the plushie'? Fits that Legendary better.
Also, fetch Nathan wherever he is when Shiva is not battling. She'll catch his attention by handing him (or Kirlia) a canned soda, before motioning to follow her to find a more quiet spot to exchange information.
He probably knows what kind of information.
