Valder saves Ventus' ass by stepping in and displaying knowledge of the Secret Library, neatly cutting off his employer.

"Yeah, the Waters are trying their own hand at things. They're racing to the Library too. Honestly I think they are more interested in stopping us than getting there themselves. They've done a lot of things to mess with us, including betrayal of other Scimitars. Leaking information to our enemies."

"Erm, The Gauntlet?" He laughs nervously. "I think you mean 'gauntlets,' and Grunts don't get those. Right, Mr....?" This last part is directed at Ventus. He wants to know Ventus' name, and both Valder and Ventus can tell he's lying about The Gauntlet.

"So, yeah, apparently this Shiva girl who just got slaughtered by a freakin' Taillow, she knows something about the Library's location. Once we find out what she knows, we can get in there ourselves. Every Scimitar has different reasons for wanting to get inside - who wouldn't? - but we are united! Ha, look at that little Cherubi. These people act like Pokemon are so great, and then they purposely use the weakest ones possible? Ridiculous. Pokemon should be...like, heard and not seen."

"As I was trying to say, we know the Library is underneath Mt. Sentry, but even after months of work we haven't mapped all the tunnels. Not even Cosh. So we're trying to find it another way. You, Grunt, how close are you to your Ritual of Wielding?" Valder seems to be "Grunt."

Ventus didn't overly display his gratitude for Valder's timely rescue, but he did give his mercenary a nod of his head for their input, before stepping back in the conversation with the 'gentlemne'

"The Water Scimitars.......always a nuisancense......eh?  The Library might be......coveted by us all.........but that should not incite us to become traitors for the cause," he said, spitting at the last part with a bit of venom darkening his tone, until he 'calmed' himself down and continued. "Sorry about that.......outburst. Betrayel is a......sensitive subject for me. Yes, I do believe my Grunt is.......mistaken, as he often is when he speaks of things......he doesn't know of. My name.......Hasmed. "

The disguised researcher then remained silent as the Scimitar droned on about his dearest friend's defeat, and exposting completely bullshit Anti-Pokémon/Human Supremisist statements, before incline his head towards the man. "Interogating a woman for a shortcut to the Library......or trying to find one at any rate.  My preference would have been to.......secretly aduct her to cause less of a......scene, but this has more deniability I suppose. So long as we find the Library, all will have been worth it..."

"Ah.....is their a bathroom nearby I can use? I feel nature calling.......and I should go head it before it goes looking for me. I'll leave my Grunt here to help tidy things up......if you would like......"
