It'd be pretty hard to make up a set of rules for love in an RPG. But most RPGs are open ended enough that you can easily add it if you so desire.
I imagine it wouldn't work out great in face-to-face D&D though. Either you have an IRL couple making everybody gag all the time, or you have two acquaintances awkwardly pretending to be more.
The online medium is perfect because it doesn't take time away from anyone else, and you have time for a measured response!
