Ventus , who looked a bit ashamed and apprehensive before Shiva's rejoinder, now looked even more shocked that despite his warnings, his allusions and outright statements that perhaps he was not the best target of her...her love, she STILL persisted with the notion. What's worse? was that she was mostly correct with her counter argument, as he believe that by the impression he's gotten from both her and their father that they would accept him warts and all, regardless of his deranged quirks, his phobia and zealous hatred of the arcane and supernatural, his......torrid, shameful history. Even his age wasn't an obsticale for her! The fact that his dearest friend thought so highly of him, cared so deeply for him that she was willing to fully embrace him as a....as a.....as a.....

With a deliberate slowness to his action, the empath gently grapsed his crush's hand and gave it a light squeeze. "Not now....but yes. I'm not.....ready yet.....I don't think I'll ever quite be for you. You mean so much to me, Shiva, that I don't want you to dash yourself upon me, or find me wanting for all that I've done, and for the sins that I hide. But if you truly desire me, then I can accept your affections. But not now. I won't leave you, my dearest, but please.......don't leave me alone too....."

He then withdrew his hand and gave her a wane yet stilling charming smile as he motioned to the door. "Well....how about we head to the Shelter, and get started on our day's labor?"

(Well, this is a good stopping point, and it allows Shiva and Ventus to encounter Nathan in the lobby, since he's waiting there for all of us the last time I checked. No need to leave him hanging now!)
