Nathan's VERY focused on his journal (and he's still sitting at that table closest to the corner that few ever seem to sit at).  And Kirlia's too distracted with Nathan to notice Ventus and Shiva entering the lobby right away.

Seeing Nathan sniffling and sneezing while reading his journel and Kirlia worriedly hover by him stirred up several emotions in the empath as he and Shiva had finished their morning rituals and headed to the lobby. Sympathy and worry for the boy falling prey to some form of illness, a sense of curiosity and suspicion for the.....in depth knowledge he seemed to possess of Orre's Relic Stone, The Secret Library, and perhaps even the dreaded Shadow Pokémon , and a certain measure of indifference to their plight due to Ventus deliberating keeping himself from caring overly about him. Finally, the researcher just quietly shook his to clear his mind of such things -'I'll interrogate them later and ascertain to what degree he's knowledgeable of these topics, but Shiva and my own business takes priority for the moment' -, and with equals amounts of silence crept up and behind/to his side to try and get a good look at what he's reading.
