Shiva's standing a little in front of Ventus, obscuring the important parts of the journal from view. But that gives her an excellent angle.

(Holy moly.  I was looking for 2+ successes, btw, with more being better, so...oh, and I'll also give Shiva a little bonus since Ventus's view got blocked.)

Shiva actually sees some interesting words peeking out from under Nathan's arm.  Krane is one of them.  She also catches the words Purify Chamber.

And at the bottom of the page, where Nathan couldn't quite cover it up entirely since it's between his fingers...

Maybe...could...helpful...need...investigate...further.

Ventus, of course, doesn't see any of this, probably much to his frustration.
