Never underestimate a good weather team!

*stares at what shenanigans and mischievous tricks Shiva can pull off with her team once being able to summon rain and Cherubi isn't a Cherubi anymore*

And I'm totally looking forward to when Forthright can start manipulating the sun and hail herself and start exploiting them to her benefit while supporting some of Nathan's other pokemon.  Those are going to be fun times.

Meanwhile, I'm patiently waiting for the opportunity to teach Ao Guang Rain Dance, so that he can truly live up to his nameshake as Dragon King of the Seas! Lucifer and Michael also stand to benefit from Rain, since it powers up Hurricane into dangerously accurate levels, while shroombro appreciates Fire types not getting to land SE damage on him no more! Also Ariel could benefit from Rain, but I've honestly not been paying to much attention to her ever since Ven ditched her at the Daycare.

Welp, one Charmeleon for Nathan as soon as he coughs up the cash! Looking forward to this!

Also, now we have three (unique) Fire type starter pokemon in the party...one water type one as well (two former party members both had an Oshawott each as well, but they're long gone for now)...and one grass, though Chikorita's far from being super usable currently...

Still, looking forward to when we get those Pledge moves, since Iron has something special planned for them! And maybe that will be a good reason to use Chikorita a little, too!

Unfortunately I'll be completely left out of that little event, due to having zlitch in terms of Pokémon that can naturally learn the move, unless Iron decides to be magnanimous. Michael having Grass Pledge would certainly be a neat thing to have in their arsenal, and having a Field Move that lowers Dex on non Grass and Airborn targets is a neat bonus as well.
