[Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel

It wasn't going to last long though, that's for sure.

"Not much of particular interest.  I attempted to have a nice chat with her, it then devolved into a battle which I barely managed to convince her to keep away from the city's population (and rightly so, since that explosion everyone heard was a couple of Z moves clashing with each other), and then I beat her in that battle and KOed her.  Took her pokemon and possessions off of her, made her disappear.  I'll finish my business with her at a later date, when I don't have a load of other things to worry about."

"I can tell you right now what the consequences of her not succeeding in her mission are, though.  You familiar with what a Wild Hunt is, Archer?  Because when Clair fails to return to Blackthorn with me in tow, that's what the Elders have planned next.  Dragon Tamers are going to be swarming the region, and they're all going to be looking for me.  We have maybe a week tops after the Flower Festival to prepare for that.  At best."

Your assumption was spot on, for soon after you reiterated the heavily censored and condensed version of events Archer once again had a neutral expression, though this time it appeared more thoughtful than.....analytical.

"No offense, Mr. Arendse, but I politely disagree. Any intelligence was can gather on the various Gym Leaders in the region is a boon for Team Rocket, as the more we know of them the great degree of control we can exert on them when able, and how to appropriately subdue them in a worst case scenario. With that being said, would you kindly recount your conversations in full with Clair in the Tea Shop to the best of your ability? I'm sure you can agree that 'knowing thy enemy' is critical in almost all situation, so I would like a complete report of it so that we (The Executive and The Boss) can pour over it later, and make our own determinations and decide upon the right course of action."

He then made gave you a respectful nod of his head towards you, and briefly flashed you an half smile for a job well done of 'taking care of' Clair.

"Regardless, taking down and disposing Clair is accomplishment that deserves all the praise and recognition it deserve, so once again you've done an Excellent job and great service to Team Rocket, Mr. Arendse. Out of respect and deference towards your familial relations with her, I'll leave the matter of handling her Pokémon to you, as well as let you tie up any lingering business she had by yourself, unless you or the Boss requests otherwise. Hmm.....Perhaps you could install yourself as the new Gym Leader of Blackthorn once you become an Executive and conquer it? Its just a suggestion, from one Executive to another, though one that has quite some merit to it in my humble opinion. At the very least, their is a certain sense of poetic irony about the exiled forcibly reclaiming his birthright despite your people's best efforts to deny you it, no?"

Archer let out a small, friendly chuckle as he said this, looking bemused and pleased at his.......idea, though you think he didn't mean anything offensive by it; at least not intentionally so, anyway.

Bringing up the Wild Hunt, however, soon wipes all traces of mirth and camaradence of the chief Executive's face as both his eyebrows were raised into his hairline, until his expression twisted in frown of distinct charign and he clicked his tongue in distaste at the news.

"......Indeed I am, Mr. Arendse. Tsk, those troublesome, meddlesome Elders.......they just don't know when to give up , do they. *Sighs* If they going to as prompt in desires to reclaim you for themselves, then I suppose you'll get the chance to launch a counter offensive against them and Blackthorn sooner rather than later. With you as an Executive and your experience with the city and your culture, the Boss will no doubt feel much more motivated to curtail that isolationist clan you hail from and bring it under both your heels, especially if they are making designs to take you away from him and Team Rocket. Nobody tries to steal from him and get away with it. Well, unless the persons and peoples are on an express trip to the afterlife. He's very much inclined for them go there."
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.
