"In this case I let Nidorino here." Then Heart talk a bit with Nidorino. "Hey Caesar, are you okay? Listen, I let you stay with this guy a bit okay? Just a while. I promise I will be back tomorrow to meet you again. Its just for a while. You can count with me whatever you need." Then Heart talk with the guy. "I let Nidorino stay here for tonight. I will come back here tomorrow to take of him again."

Mechanically, the progress will happen tomorrow. But he's definitely seeming incentivized to obey! Whenever he follows an order he comes over for a treat, but he still gets mad if he doesn't get one. Griggs thinks that will go away by tomorrow.
