Your trust criminal feline gives you an askew, furative glance when you raise the question at him, as if he's uncertain he really want to talk about it..... but in the end he just sighs and nods his head. He holds out the Darkium Z towards you, and makes a couple of gestures indicating that the source of his woes/irritation is the crystal itself. Huh....

The Prim Princess jerks up in surprise as you speak to her, disrupting his sullen thoughtful as she looked up at you and tried to regain her notiously good composure, which she had partial success at doing.

"Reiner! Eeeer, uuuumno no, I'm perfectly alright, so no need to fret over me. Just mulling over a Gym Battle *Grinding of Teeth* that I had engaged I after you fled the premises with Clair. Since she's not with you right now, I trust you have managed to solve your family grevences with her to a sastifactory manner? Judging by the explosion everyone heard, I suppose you settled things the old fashioned way, hmm?"

Eventually, though, what you've implied is finally deciphered by Erika's brain, and at the moment you could see her eyes lit up and shrink ever so slight, and a pleased blush blossoming across her face as she leaned closer and giving you a rather sultry look.

"Oh, do you now? Ha Ha....I didn't expect you to actually acquire more of those precious, lovely, enrapturing Balm Mushrooms, but you are a man of your word it seems, and most resourceful one at that. Mind if we....take our business to the back, Reiner, so we can speak......freely about these lovely treasures you've brought me?"

Hora Hora.

Hmmm...

"...not quite what you expected it to be or somethin'?  Or is there...something else?"

"...lost a gym battle, huh?  Must have been a rather crushing and/or embarrassing defeat if it's got you all depressed.  Well then, let's just mosey on inside to continue our chat there, shall we?"

In the back room once more...

"...excuse the mess we made earlier.  Clair wasn't exactly in a very calm state of mind earlier.  And yes, that explosion was during the course of our battle.  It was a very good thing we moved that battle to a less...occupied area."

"...the thing with Clair's handled, just so you know.  I'm working something out with her since she lost that battle, but I'm too busy to finish it up right now.  Elders aren't going to like it, but neither she nor I are returning to Blackthorn without the other, so she's keeping a very low profile for the time being.  My idea, not hers."

A pause.

"...I'm not here to talk about my family issues, though.  Now then, I've got...a few things for you.  One, as promised, Balm Mushrooms (the bag's top is flipped open briefly, then closed again).  I've got two today, though I am still looking for appropriate monetary compensation for them.  Need some hefty funds to cover the cost of some very, very important items so I can handle one more mess that's threatening Celadon's peace and safety: that damn fallout zone downtown."

"Two, a message from one of my superiors.  Once we're done here, he wants you to meet a representative from Team Rocket at *insert location here* to discuss what you'll be doing as a liaison of the group.  You'll probably want to keep your wits about you, so you might want to save the mushrooms for later."

"Three...this is probably what you'll find the most interesting.  I have two pokemon with me that know how to grow Balm Mushrooms, and could teach you how to do so if you can set up the right conditions for growing them.  They're the two mushroom pokemon that slugged their owner.  My superiors do not know this little fact about them and I don't intend to stay with the group for much longer if at all possible.  This will give you an eventual out so you can fight back against them when the time is right.  Of course, I will need the trade to be a fair looking deal if I'm to keep up appearances, so what do you have to offer for a justice loving Technician Breloom and a mischievous Illuminate Shiinotic?  Bonus points if they're not going to cause me problems in the short term and are going to be useful in combating Nuclear types without being Nuclear themselves.  Extra bonus if you also throw in something to replace that Shellder you gave me earlier this week.  Unfortunately, she perished in a freak accident due to the earlier explosion..."
