Nathan is rather surprised at the offer to let him join a conversation with Cynthia. CYNTHIA!
He's got a calm, small smile on the outside, but his eyes have practically lit up and there's a beaming smile on the inside. "...that'd be...wonderful. I'll...do my my best to stay respectful and polite and...I should probably just stop talking, shouldn't I? Sorry...force of habit..."
Nathan gets a lot more quiet and thoughtful at Ventus's request to hear more about the Yin and Yang pokemon.
"...let me pull out my notes real quick. I'd be happy to tell you more."
Nathan flips through his journal...pausing for a second on two sequential pages in particular, which clearly depict two incredibly detailed, full page, neatly colored illustrations of Cynthia. One in her warmer, black coat, her Garchomp by her side, and the other in her more relaxed Summer garb that she dons when in Unova (her outfit from the Best Wishes arc of the anime), her Togekiss overhead.
There are also a lot of loose papers between the nearby pages. A LOT of loose pages. For how organized Nathan's journal is, this looks kinda chaotic.
'Looks up to her' is very likely to be a MASSIVE understatement...
...then Nathan continues flipping the pages.
"...there they are. My notes on the Yin and Yang pokemon...let me just refresh my memory real quick...the details can be difficult to memorize..."
(If Ventus wants to react to Nathan's stuff concerning Cynthia, he's free to do so before Nathan starts on the blacks and whites. I need to type that in a separate post due to character limits on the 3DS browser...blegh...)
